Not quite closure for the arc, but I felt it was good enough. Rather than have some emotional backlash that would have taken several comics to repair, we just threw him in a box and mailed him into the ‘somebody-else’s-problem’ zone.

ID wanted to bring some form of conclusion to ID’s delusions, but I felt it would be better to keep him around as a recurring character.

Chalo and I felt that this is truly what we wanted our comic to be from the start, slice of life undertones with comedy and sexy girls. Doesn’t get better than that.

I wanted to have Canela return and henpeck Idward into comming back with her, thus providing a somewhath happy ending to this shakeup arc.

For a time after this arc I wrote a column for Katbox.net called "Ask Idward" in which Idward would answer letters from Aruba. However, it did not work out very well. Low interest combined with an increasingly busy schedule meant that the project was scrapped before we reached 10 columns.

Looking back on it, the column was fun at first but had quickly deteriorated into another chore for me .
